Powdered Cellulose is produced by mechanical refinement of purified alpha-cellulose pulp, giving a fibrous, chemically inert powder available across a wide particle-size range. In pharma it serves as a filler and disintegration aid; in food it acts as an anti-caking agent, fat replacer and dietary-fibre fortifier — most famously keeping shredded cheese free-flowing.
