Pregelatinized Starch is maize starch that has been chemically and mechanically processed to rupture the starch granules, making it cold-water swellable. Partially pregelatinized grades uniquely combine three functions โ binder, disintegrant and flow aid โ reducing the number of excipients a formulation needs and simplifying direct-compression blends.
